The
Boalsburg Heritage Museum is located at 304 East
Main Street in Boalsburg. The house itself was
built in 1825. The Museum has a variety of
displays changed regularly that feature local
artists. Special tours of the Museum, which
includes the Summer Kitchen with its Beehive
Oven, the "Pool Hall" (The Lighthouse), and the
Country Store, can be arranged by calling
466-3035 and leaving a message; the call will be
returned as soon as possible. Individuals and
tour groups are welcome! |

Columbus Chapel and Boal Mansion

The Boal
family was one of the founding families of
Boalsburg and the surrounding area. The Boal
mansion has been home to nine generations of the
Boal family since 1789. It contains original
furnishings, buildings and family
archives. The Columbus
Chapel, located on the mansion grounds, was
brought to America in 1909 and contains
heirlooms belonging to the Columbus family and
dating back to the 1400's. Guided tours
of the mansion museum and chapel are available
from May through October. Call the number listed

ICE SKATING: Have a case of Cabin
Fever? Bundle up and head outdoors to the
Village Ice Rink at Blue Spring Park, located at
230 Wagner Street, Boalsburg (Harris Township).
This activity is FREE and fun for kids of all
ages! It's an all-natural, on-ground rink (no
refrigeration system).The on-ground ice rink
measures 80' x 45' and is totally dependant upon
(1) the weather and (2) the commitment of
community volunteers to assist CRPR with ice
maintenance and to help prevent damage or
vandalism.
Ice hockey is only permitted
during the “Hockey-only” times on Mon. &
Thurs., 3-5:30 PM. Check here or call the “CRPR
Ice Line” (tape message) at 234-7146 for current
